Athletic beauty Bipasha Basu who has a very good skin and a fit body has recently revealed her beauty secrets. She says,

“I am a kind of person who is completely into workouts. I believe in being healthy and it’s not about just looking good. I always feel that being healthy is the key reason for me. That’s the reason I am so much into fitness”, Says Bipasha.

Bipasha reveals her health and beauty regime. “I drink 10 glasses of water a day. Apply sunscreen with a high SPF every time I step out in the sun. Eat small meals, around six times a day at regular intervals. Involve the proper food items in my diet judiciously which are highly nutritious. Exercising 4 times a week at minimum for an hour a day and minimum 7-8 hours of sleep a day definitely makes one look fit and beautiful.” she signs off.

An Olympics bronze in boxing meant this simple Jat boy became a pin-up star overnight. And in the time since then, he’s become an in-demand

Vijender Singh admits life has changed beyond belief. He now knows he attracts the sort of attention his fave stars do. “I adore Akshay Kumar for his toned body, while I like the way Abhishek Bachchan dresses. I am trying to be as fit as Akshay,” says Vijender, who loves
to shop for jeans, jackets and T-shirts.

The boxing sensation from Bhiwani finds himself spending increasingly more time on the Internet and on networking sites. “If I’m not practising, I like to surf the Net. This way, I stay updated and also know about my fans and what people expect from me. After all, I’m a youth icon now,” he says. The boxer also has a fancy for gadgets and his prized possessions include a laptop, an iPod and two mobile phones.

Now that he’s such an eligible bachelor, what about marriage? “Marriage will happen only after the 2012 Olympic gold, which is my topmost priority,” he says. But he knows what sort of girl he’d like for a life partner. “I want a simple girl who can adjust with my family and our values,” he says. We bring up his much-publicised attraction for Bipasha Basu. “Someone like Bipasha can’t adjust in a family like mine. I can like Bipasha, but not marry her,” says Vijender.

He insists that his lifestyle has changed after the Olympics, but not the way he views life. “I’m very grounded and my parents still discipline me as they always did. I still spend most of my free time with my old friends who are always there for me. As for the fame, it’s a big responsibility. I am accountable to all Indians. I’ve used my star status to get pukka roads laid in my village,” he adds.
There’s, however, something about being famous that Vijender abhors. “I don’t like travelling and hated the Bharat Darshan I undertook after winning the bronze. I would rather spend time in my village,” he rues.

Meanwhile, he has big plans for the future. “I want to enter politics at some point and am also open to offers from Bollywood and modelling,” says Vijender, who already has friends like Govinda and Akshay Kumar in the industry. But all that will have to wait till after the 2012 Olympics.

Bipasha Hollywood Break

Bipasha Basu has reportedly taken up a Hollywood project, which was earlier rejected by Kareena Kapoor.

The film, titled “Chaimera”, is a thriller and will be directed by Daniel Silverman who made “The Devil Wears Prada”. It will be produced by music director-turned-producer Tabun.

“Chaimera” is said to star Billy Zane and Bipasha in the lead. And what's more, it seems Bipasha has been paid well in advance for the movie.

She is said to be playing an Asian character in the film, which is to be shot in India.

Bipasha Basu & Dhoni shoot for Reebok ad in Hong Kong

Even though her New Year Eve by Sahara Star got cancelled, Bipasha Basu was not sitting and sulking about it. Instead the actress flew to Hong Kong to shoot for the Reebok commercial with Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Dhoni too made the most of his spare time after the series win against England. He shot for the sports goods Reebok while Bipasha shot for the clothes and accessories of the same brand.

While both have shot for their ad campaigns for the product individually, this is the first time the two will be featured together. The ad campaign is expected to hit TV screens by the end of the month.

No equation between Katrina and Bipasha

Looks like, Bollywood’s sexy siren Bipasha Basu is not quite pleased with the idea of having girl pals in B-town and ends up bruising her relations with most of them. Although, it was heard that Lara and Bipasha were best buddies once upon a time. Well, whatever happened to that!

In an interview to a tabloid Bipasha said, "I don`t speak to Katrina because of the vibes we share. I get no vibe from her, so I am going to behave in the same fashion. I am not here to make friends. There is no catfight, we work together and it is professional but we don`t speak. I can`t dissect the reasons but I am like this. If you show me you are a friendly, fun co-star, I will behave in the same fashion. There is no equation between Katrina and me, there`s no animosity either. To each his own is what I say".

Well, not that all this really bothers Katrina, she has an endless list of ‘good friends’ in her kitty, just that it’s only men!

Bipasha Basu is quite pleased with John Abraham’s success in “Dostana” and says that the label of the ’sexiest’ Asian man for him pleases her even more.”There has to be one person who’s the sexiest every year. In 2007, Eastern Eye voted me the sexiest. In 2008, it’s John. If they didn’t vote him the sexiest they’d look really foolish. I mean John is the hottest. No one is going to look hotter than him for a long time. And I’m not saying that because I’m in a relationship with him,” Bipasha told IANS.

Asked how she felt about John flaunting his well-toned body in “Dostana”, Bipasha said: “Ranbir Kapoor showed his bum in ‘Saawariya’. How come no one raised any eyebrows? It was not so drastic with John.

“He has a fantastic body. If a woman on a beach is appreciated, why not a man on the beach? If you are comfortable with your body and you can carry it off with grace like John did, why not? I’m proud of what John has achieved. I’ve been with him from the time we shot ‘Aetbaar’ and ‘Jism’. We started dating while shooting for ‘Aetbaar’.”

Bipasha, who turned 30 Wednesday, said she was really proud of her bikini shot in “Dhoom 2″.

“At no point did I look cheesy. There was no heaving thrusting. It was just a healthy shot of a woman on the beach. Incidentally, I came out of the water in ‘Jism’ wearing a thick white dress. Such was the impact that people think I wore a bikini.”

Bipasha said she was pretty happy with her achievements last year.

“It’s been a fantastic year for me, both personally and professionally. Family is great. Boyfriend is great. Everything is fine. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

“I’m actually surprised the year went so well. I even got time to watch my niece and nephew grow. Yes, I’ve spent one more beautiful year productively.”

Told that she needs to have children of her own, Bipasha said: “No, no I don’t have the patience for kids. I can’t bear to have my seven-year-old nephew around for more than two hours. He’s a talkative brat.

“My one-year-old niece is an item number. She dances superbly to the worst songs. So, yes, another actress coming up in my family. And she’s the first light-eyed fair-skinned Basu girl in the family.”

The actress is currently shooting for Rahul Dholakia’s hard-hitting drama “Lamhaa”.

Bipasha's Bengali debut turns tragic

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu waited a long time before signing her first Bengali movie Shob Charitro Kalponik. But she got the shock of her life when the producers prevented her from dubbing for the movie. Bipasha was furious when she came to know that she would not be dubbing for the movie herself. Bipasha added that nobody has so far dubbed for her in her career and there was no way she would allow the producers to have it their way.
The movie portraying the life of an ordinary Bengali housewife is directed by the most celebrated Bengali director Rituparno Ghosh and stars Prasenjit Chatterjee opposite her. Rituparno has a history of getting voice dubbed for most of his actors and actresses. Bipasha however is adamant on not allowing anyone else to dub for her. It seems Bipasha's Bengali debut has turned somewhat tragic.

Jism 2 will launch three new faces and bodies

Five years after Bipasha Basu and John Abraham scorched the screen in Jism, Shagufta Rafique, screenwriter for the much-hyped sequel to the film, says part two will be about infidelity and will launch three new faces with great bodies.

"Since Jism was all about the human body and keeping up with the tradition of Vishesh Films' launching new talent, we'll take a completely new and absolutely raw cast for Jism 2. We'll launch three new faces and three great bodies in three newcomers in the film," Rafique revealed.

Released in 2003, Jism was an unexpected box office success and the launch vehicle of Bollywood heartthrob John. The film gave a boost to John and Bipasha's careers and both got tagged as sex symbols.

While the first was written by Mahesh Bhatt, Jism 2 is being written by Rafique, who holds to her credit films like Woh Lamhe, Awarapan and the box office dud Dhokha.


Asked about the plot of Jism 2, she said: "Like the previous Jism, part two will concentrate on the issue of infidelity and it will be a murder mystery. I have already started working on the film and Pooja (Bhatt) will be directing it."

Loosely based on Lawrence Kasdan's Body Heat (1981), Jism was directed by Amit Saxena and also starred Gulshan Grover, Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey.

Rafique added that Pooja Bhatt and Sujit Kumar, who produced Jism, would soon be starting a Jism franchise.
"The franchise will be a series of erotic and passionate films, but with different stories. We in fact have 10 scripts ready on the same with us.


"Jism was a big success as a brand. Pooja opened a Pandora's box with the film in the industry. Soon everyone started making films on the body. But the film's got to do with passion, love and lust and to live up with its brand, we'll come out with a Jism franchise altogether," Rafique said.

Apart from Jism 2, she has also wrote the scripts for upcoming films such as Raaz - The Mystery Continues, Sincity and Jashnn.

B-town actors are known to fight tooth and nail for film projects and ad films. Now the competition has extended to the world of Television as well since there's big moolah involved there. And even more interestingly the war is taking place between people of different generations too.

The buzz is that there's stiff competition currently between Juhi Chawla and Bipasha Basu as to who would be the next judge of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'.

The buzz is that both the ladies have been approached by Sony to judge 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa'. Though none of them have been confirmed as yet, the inside news is that the judge will be offered a whopping 2.5 crores to judge the show. Since the money involved is huge, both Juhi and Bipasha do not want to let this opportunity slip off their hands.

Juhi has clearly mentioned that she has all the possible dates to give them and Bipasha too has agreed to lend her sexy quotient in 'Jhalak'. She was a guest judge on the show last year.

The official statement says, "Sony has approached both Juhi and Bipasha but none has been signed. First it was the strike and then the unfortunate blasts that have put the formal proceedings of the show off track. In fact the show was supposed to be launched in February 2009 but looks like that too will get pushed ahead."

NEIL MUKESH AND BIPASHA BASU MOVIE TITTLE RE-NAMED

Neil Mukesh and Bipasha Basu are starring together in Freeze directed by Jehangir Surti. However, the buzz doing the rounds is that the film is now called Aa Dekhen Zara.

Bollywood Hungama spoke to Vikram Rajani (the Producer of the film and Executive Director, Eros Pictures) to get the facts straight. He said, "What is Freeze? The film was always called Aa Dekhen Zara. I don't know how people called the film Freeze. That was just a working title we had in mind. We've had the title Aa Dekhen Zara registered long time back"

Now that ends the speculation once and for all. The film, a romantic thriller, is nearing completion and should release sometime next year.

Will Bips remain in Lamhaa?

We had recently reported how Bipasha Basu abruptly left the shoot of “Lamhaa” in Kashmir mid way and flew back to Mumbai, which shocked producer Bunty Walia and director Rahul Dholakia.

Her behaviour, for which she gave no public explanation, inconvenienced everyone and there was no option but to halt the shoot.

Even Sanjay Dutt, who had flown down from Mumbai for the shoot, had to be sent back.

Reportedly, now Rahul and Bunty are thinking about replacing Bipasha with Vidya Balan. However, the change will only happen after a meeting with Bipasha.
According to close sources, a crucial 10-day shooting schedule has to take place in Kashmir soon and if Bips does not agree to be a part of it, she cannot be in the film.

Bunty Walia too confirmed the news saying he will have a meeting with Bipasha and try to convince her to resume shooting in Kashmir. He also said he will think about the replacement if Bipasha does not agree to shoot.

It was reported that Salman Khan would be performing on the 31st night at Sahara Star. It is said that Sahara had approached Salman to perform for the New Year's Eve and he agreed for a price of Rs.3 crores. Arbaaz, Sohail and Malaika would also perform with him.

However, the latest we hear is that Salman is out of the event and Bipasha Basu
has been asked to perform in his place for the New Years Eve. It is said that the sponsors could not afford Salman's price. In spite of having several discussions with Salman for the last ten days over the price Salman did not agree to compromise on his price.

Actually it is said that the sponsors had made a deal of Rs.3.5 crores with the organisers, therefore they had agreed to pay Salman the said amount but after lots of talks they finally agreed to pay Salman the price of Rs.2 crores on which Salman refused flatly. Whether brothers Arbaaz, Sohail and Malaika would still perform or not is unknown.
In all it is said that Bipasha has been convinced to perform with a price of Rs.1 crore, whereas last year she had performed at J.W. Mariott for just Rs.90 lakhs for a 30 minute performance.
