Bipasha Basu’s wish to do an action role has been fulfilled. The lady has bagged a plum role in Abbas-Mastan’s Hindi remake of the 2003 Hollywood thriller ‘The Italian Job’.

Just recently, Bipasha had expressed her itching desire to do an action role after a spate of serious, character-based roles in her recent films. Well, the wish has been granted. She will reportedly play a femme fatale in the movie titled Players which will be the official remake of The Italian Job.

From what we learn, the makers of the film saw the rushes of Rohan Sippy’s upcoming film Dum Maaro Dum which has Bipasha playing a Goan junkie. Moreover, Bipasha’s spunky performance in Dhoom 2 was also in their mind.

Players will have Bipasha sharing screen space with actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bobby Deol.

Lamhaa is a forthcoming Indian Bollywood Hindi film based on terrorism in Kashmir. Bollywood hero Sanjay Dutt plays a veteran cop and Bipasha Basu, Anupam Kher, Kunal Kapoor and other actors play pivotal roles in the movie.

Lamhaa is produced by Bunty Walia and Jaspreet Walia and directed by Rahul Dholakia.

Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu is no stranger to the cameras as she started out as a model and even worked for a few years in New York City before kicking off her acting career. And John Abraham's girlfriend has graced a few magazine covers in her days!

And just like her boyfriend, Bips likes to work out and to stay slim, all the while eating healthy. That's why she looks amazing every time she graces the cover of a magazine.

She looked absolutely stunning on the front page of Vogue India, wearing a simple yet sexy, white dress, smoking hot jewelry and a short bob.

She pulled off yet another sassy look on the cover of Bazaar, donning a dark blue satin dress with a big bow over the chest.

And the B-town bombshell, who recently released the workout video, "Love Yourself," sure looked in shape on the cover of FHM!

Now Bips is taking on the cover of Marie Claire magazine! The fitness freak threw a launch party to celebrate the magazine cover at Mumbai's Le Sutra hotel on Thursday and she looked amazing in a short, black dress with a matching black clutch and gorgeous black high heels.

But good looks is not all Bips has got going for her! "If you all have been seeing me over the years, you know that I have a good level of smartness," Bipasha told reporters at the event.

"It's a tough job being an actor and being an actor coming from outside without any support system, making your name in this business. I think if I was not smart and intelligent I wouldn't have been here today on the cover of Marie Claire and here as Bipasha Basu. It's very important to be smart and have a personality," she added.

Bipasha basu to play 9 different aavtar in a film

We have seen Priyanka Chopra donning 12 avatars in What’s Your Rashee. This time it’s gonna be Bipasha Basu’s who is going to don multiple avatars. Yes, she will be seen in nine different get ups in the film “Pankh” by director Sudipto Chattopadhyay.

Bipasha Basu in Rohan Sippy’s ‘Dum Maro Dum’.

It’s decided. Bipasha Basu has been chosen as the female lead in Rohan Sippy’s ‘Dum Maro Dum’.

She will be starring in the film as a Goan junkie opposite Telugu actor Rana Daggubati. The movie also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Pratik and Aditya Pancholi.

The news has been confirmed by Rohan who believes that Bipasha’s the perfect fit for the character.

He, however, denied that Bipasha’s character is based on that of Zeenat Aman’s in ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’.

He also clears the air that the film has nothing to do with ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ except for the fact that both contain gangsters, drugs and they are set in Goa.

Bipasha Basu to romance Rana in ‘Dum Maaro Dum"

While he is patiently waiting for his debut film ‘Leader’ this Feb 19th, Rana Daggubati is looking forward to his second venture, interestingly which is going to be in Hindi.

Titled ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, the film will feature three male lead including Abhishek Bachchan, Prateek Babbar, besides Rana.

And here our budding hero plays the role of a Goan Musician and will get to share the screen space with Bollywood’s sizzling beauty Bipasha Basu as his love interest.

Directed by Rohan Sippy, the film revolves around the drug racket in Goa and the story of the film is said to be inspired from a Hollywood film, ‘Traffic’.

Bipasha -Ajay as Sita -Ram in "Ram Leela" by Priyadarshan

After garnering appreciation for ‘All The Best’, Ajay Devgn and Bipasha Basu will yet again share screen space. And this time it is Priyadarshan who is all set to go on the floors with his next venture ‘Ram Leela’.

“‘Ram Leela’ is based on epic Ramayana with new dimensions added by director Priyadarshan,” confirms the singer Ajay Jhingran of ‘Billu’, ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’, ‘Page 3’ fame.

Jhingran has also sung two songs in the film whose music has been composed by Pritam Chakraborty. Irshad Kamil has penned down lyrics for the film.

Well, Ajay and Bips seem to have taken the lead as Rama and Sita. Wonder, who will step into the shoes of other characters. And what will be Priyadarshan’s approach to this modern ‘Ram Leela’.

Bip's Press Conference for "Seduction 2010"

Bipasha Basu interacted cheerfully with the media at the press conference to announce her participation in Sahara Star’s New Year celebration ‘Seduction 2010’.

Due to a prolonged shoot, Bipasha couldn’t attend the event which took place last week, but this time she more than made up for it. Bipasha, looking hot as usual, answered questions with ease. When complimented for her slim figure, Bipasha announced that for the last five years, she has maintained her weight at 58 kg. She believes in trying various fitness techniques, and the benefits can be seen only after a few years. Now we know the secret behind those washboard abs, Bips!

It is rumored that Bipasha has taken a whopping Rs 2 crore for her performance, but Bipasha refused to comment on that. And all who are diehard fan of Johnny boy will be disappointed to know that John is not the part of the deal as she will be performing alone, along with a few other celebrities.
