Athletic beauty Bipasha Basu who has a very good skin and a fit body has recently revealed her beauty secrets. She says,

“I am a kind of person who is completely into workouts. I believe in being healthy and it’s not about just looking good. I always feel that being healthy is the key reason for me. That’s the reason I am so much into fitness”, Says Bipasha.

Bipasha reveals her health and beauty regime. “I drink 10 glasses of water a day. Apply sunscreen with a high SPF every time I step out in the sun. Eat small meals, around six times a day at regular intervals. Involve the proper food items in my diet judiciously which are highly nutritious. Exercising 4 times a week at minimum for an hour a day and minimum 7-8 hours of sleep a day definitely makes one look fit and beautiful.” she signs off.

Neil, Bipasha begin new innings

Eros International has tied up with the India-New Zealand series (25th February - 7th April 2009) on one of the popular channel for its forthcoming release Aa Dekhen Zara.

As part of film's interesting marketing initiatives to reach out to broad audiences and create prominent visibility for the film, Eros has tied up with the popular cricket series through a series of innovations across that channel. In the unique initiative, the lead cast of the film Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bipasha Basu will endorse the series on the channel along with soundtrack of Aa Dekhen Zara, visuals from the film and of the cricketers from both teams.

The promotions will extend to radio as well through a campaign across all leading radio stations through out the country to promote the Aa Dekhen Zara - India New Zealand series association by way of tune-ins, RJ mentions etc. The campaign on TV and radio will run all through the series.

Aa Dekhen Zara is a fast-paced, romantic musical thriller with some great edge of the seat action. Produced by Viki Rajani and directed by debutant director Jehangir Surti, the date with fate is set for release on 27th March 2009.

Bipasha gets hurt

On looking at the dance sequence of Aa Dekhan Zara, one can hardly understand that Bips is hurt. But it is true that she injured her knee while filming the song with Neil Nitin Mukesh. A source from the unit member informs, "Bipasha made sure that her knee pain didn’t affect her work schedule."

Aa Dekhan Zara is about to release and Bips will devote her maximum time promoting the film. "Aa Dekhen Zara will be my next release and I will be busy for the next five weeks promoting the film as it releases on the 27th of March," she confirmed. Director Jehangir Surti is quite impressed with Bips's dedication towards her work and shocked to see her working in spite of getting hurt. "Being a first time director, I was very apprehensive, but Bipasha showed me how a professional is at work and seeing her commitment, I was fully charged," he said. Aa Dekhen Zara is a sci-fi movie which also stars Koena Mitra.

Soon Bipasha will kick start the shooting of Rahul Dholakia's Lamhaa which run into trouble few months back. Due to lack of security in Kashmir, Bips retuned back but now everything has been taken care of and the shooting will commence very soon. "The place is beautiful. The people are beautiful," Rahul confirms.

Work comes first for Bipasha Basu

Bipasha is getting compliments for her item song in Aa Dekhen Zara but very few know that Bips has gone through a lot of pain while shooting that song.

It is believed that Bipasha was going through the knee pain as she injured her knee few days before the shoot of that item number. Though her physiotherapist advised her to take complete rest actress chose to work.

A unit hand informs us Bipasha attended rehearsal a day before the shoot. Being so professional Bipasha made sure that her knee pain shouldn’t affect her work schedule thus she used to visit her physiotherapist during the shoot breaks.

Though the thriller JOHNNY GADDAAR has established a rough n tough image of newbie Neil Nitin Mukesh, but in real life the handsome hunk carries a very contrasting image to that of his reel life persona. And the same was experienced by the team of upcoming film AA DEKHEN ZARA starring hot Bipasha Basu alongside.

It was during this Bangkok shooting schedule when the unit of AA DEKHEN ZARA discovered Neil's affectionate and warm side. It is quite obvious when you are working in a group; you bound to develop a bond with your team members/colleagues. After the fantastic month long Bangkok schedule, there was much bonhomie established between the actors and crew of AA DEKHEN ZARA.

And Neil who easily gels well with people got along with his team like house on fire. So much so that the hottie actually went ahead and gifted some real thoughtful gifts to the people on the sets including a walkie talkie for his co-star Bipasha and a microphone for the director. Looking at this friendly gesture of Neil the entire team of AA DEKHEN ZARA including the sultry siren of Bollywood Bipasha was highly touched.

Farhan Akhtar - Bipasha's new man in Amol Gupte's next

That sexy damsel Bipasha Basu, Reitesh Deshmukh and Boman Irani are part of TAARE ZAMEEN PAR fame writer Amol Gupte's directorial debut is old news, but what's not is the fact that now director/producer/actor Farhan Akhtar is also a part of this movie.

If the current buzz is to be believed, than the multi-faceted Farhan Akhtar has been approached by Amol to play the lead character opposite Bipasha in this yet to be titled debut venture of Amol which will be an out-an-out comedy.

The project was tentatively named as 'Freeze' but now its called 'Aa Dekhen Zara'. The movie is all about money, love and power. 'Aa Dekhen Zara' is a story of Ray Acharya (Neil Nitin Mukesh), a struggling photographer has nothing going for him… until he inherits a very 'special' camera from his grandfather which changes his life in a way that he could not have imagined in his wildest dreams.

The 'power' of the camera changes Ray's destiny overnight. His life becomes one big roller coaster ride that takes him from rags to riches and also helps him meet the love of his life, Simi (Bipasha Basu) who is an exciting sexy DJ with a mind of her own. Everything is hunky dory and moving towards 'happily ever after'.

As they say with great power comes great responsibility and in Ray's case, also great danger. He must now face up to the dark side of reality and win not only against the evil forces but also against fate. Aa Dekhen Zara is a fast-paced, romantic musical thriller with some great edge of the seat action. Now we so can't wait for the trailer yah!

Bipasha to star in Ajay's home production

Her fifth film (and second pairing) with Ajay Devgan in Rohit Shetty's untitled next. After much speculation over the main lead from Katrina Kaif to Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan opposite Ajay Devgan in Rohit Shetty's untitled next, they've finally signed on Bipasha Basu.

The film will be produced by Ajay's banner Devgan Entertainment Limited. This will be Devgan and Bips' fifth film together (see box). Bipasha was also the heroine for Rohit's debut film Zameen which starred Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan.

Bipasha admits, "Yes. I am doing Rohit's film. I am very excited about the script and am looking forward to working with Ajay again. We have worked together in serious films. It will be interesting to do a comedy with him. When Rohit came to me with the script, I instantly said yes. It's reminded me of No Entry."

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan and one more heroine, who is yet to be signed on. The film is based on the Hindi play Uncle Samjha Karo which was staged five years ago in Mumbai and deals with mistaken identities and hilarious goof-ups.

Paritosh Painter and Balwinder Singh Suri who penned and directed the play are on board with Devgan's team of writers, which include Robin Bhatt, Yunus Sajawat and Farhad Sajid for the film's story-screenplay. he film is slated to roll in March and will be shot mostly in Goa a location that Rohit considers lucky as he filmed his Golmaal films there.

Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha's Lamha wrapped, release post June

Mumbai: The shooting of producer Bunty Walia's home production, Lamha directed by Rahul Dholakia is finally complete. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha Basu and Kunal Kapoor in the lead roles.

Lamha is a thriller story set in the terrorism of Kashmir. Close to 40 percent of the film has been shot in Kashmir and it was recently in the news for the flack received by locals there which agitated actress Bipasha Basu leading to rumors of she backing out of the film. But contrary to all reports, the film's shooting is now complete.

Walia says, "Lamha's shooting is complete and we are currently working on its editing and post production. I am looking at releasing the film in June- July. But before that in mid-March I will launch a coffee table book, and that is when I will be looking at selling the film's rights to distributors."

The film has been made on a budget of Rs 25- 30 crore and Walia says he is looking at selling the rights for approximately Rs 35 crore. "I want the film to be a hit and I want everyone to make money. There is no point selling it at a high price in such volatile market conditions."

Vijender Singh admits life has changed beyond belief. He now knows he attracts the sort of attention his fave stars do. “I adore Akshay Kumar for his toned body, while I like the way Abhishek Bachchan dresses. I am trying to be as fit as Akshay,” says Vijender, who loves
to shop for jeans, jackets and T-shirts.

The boxing sensation from Bhiwani finds himself spending increasingly more time on the Internet and on networking sites. “If I’m not practising, I like to surf the Net. This way, I stay updated and also know about my fans and what people expect from me. After all, I’m a youth icon now,” he says. The boxer also has a fancy for gadgets and his prized possessions include a laptop, an iPod and two mobile phones.

Now that he’s such an eligible bachelor, what about marriage? “Marriage will happen only after the 2012 Olympic gold, which is my topmost priority,” he says. But he knows what sort of girl he’d like for a life partner. “I want a simple girl who can adjust with my family and our values,” he says. We bring up his much-publicised attraction for Bipasha Basu. “Someone like Bipasha can’t adjust in a family like mine. I can like Bipasha, but not marry her,” says Vijender.

He insists that his lifestyle has changed after the Olympics, but not the way he views life. “I’m very grounded and my parents still discipline me as they always did. I still spend most of my free time with my old friends who are always there for me. As for the fame, it’s a big responsibility. I am accountable to all Indians. I’ve used my star status to get pukka roads laid in my village,” he adds.
There’s, however, something about being famous that Vijender abhors. “I don’t like travelling and hated the Bharat Darshan I undertook after winning the bronze. I would rather spend time in my village,” he rues.

Meanwhile, he has big plans for the future. “I want to enter politics at some point and am also open to offers from Bollywood and modelling,” says Vijender, who already has friends like Govinda and Akshay Kumar in the industry. But all that will have to wait till after the 2012 Olympics.

Bipasha and Billy Zane

American actor Billy Zane, who was The Phantom in the movie of the same name, and has also played the roles of Dracula in Vlad and Marc Anthony in Cleopatra, is lined up to star in a movie alongside Bipasha Basu called Chai Mera. It will be directed by Daniel Silverman who made The Devil Wears Prada and will also feature a cameo from Kunal Kapoor. Shooting begins in March.

A source for the movie said, "Chai Mera is a thriller and will be directed by Hollywood filmmaker Daniel Silverman. Bipasha has got an author backed role and has been paid a huge signing amount for the film. A large part of the film will be shot in India with Billy Zane, famous for his villain's part in the mega successful and multiple Oscar award winning film, Titanic being part of it. Kunal Kapoor will feature in a special appearance but his character is supposed to be very important."

Bipasha will be hoping that this new development in her career will give her the opportunity to demonstrate her acting talents instead of just being seen as a sex symbol. "I am bored of being looked upon as just hot," she says, "Not that I don't like it. It's a compliment but people somehow associate all my roles with the word sexy! If I play a teacher I am a sexy teacher, sexy cop, a sexy housewife. I am not trying to get rid of my image but it's just that no matter what I do, these adjectives just don't leave me!"

Bipasha Hollywood Break

Bipasha Basu has reportedly taken up a Hollywood project, which was earlier rejected by Kareena Kapoor.

The film, titled “Chaimera”, is a thriller and will be directed by Daniel Silverman who made “The Devil Wears Prada”. It will be produced by music director-turned-producer Tabun.

“Chaimera” is said to star Billy Zane and Bipasha in the lead. And what's more, it seems Bipasha has been paid well in advance for the movie.

She is said to be playing an Asian character in the film, which is to be shot in India.
