We had recently reported how Bipasha Basu abruptly left the shoot of “Lamhaa” in Kashmir mid way and flew back to Mumbai, which shocked producer Bunty Walia and director Rahul Dholakia.

Her behaviour, for which she gave no public explanation, inconvenienced everyone and there was no option but to halt the shoot.

Even Sanjay Dutt, who had flown down from Mumbai for the shoot, had to be sent back.

Reportedly, now Rahul and Bunty are thinking about replacing Bipasha with Vidya Balan. However, the change will only happen after a meeting with Bipasha.
According to close sources, a crucial 10-day shooting schedule has to take place in Kashmir soon and if Bips does not agree to be a part of it, she cannot be in the film.

Bunty Walia too confirmed the news saying he will have a meeting with Bipasha and try to convince her to resume shooting in Kashmir. He also said he will think about the replacement if Bipasha does not agree to shoot.

One of Bollywood's hottest sensations, Bipasha Basu, too, appears to have joined this money-minting bandwagon.The actress has been, reportedly, paid a stunning Rs 1.5 crore to perform for a mere 15 minutes on New Year's eve at Mumbai's Sahara Star Hotel. How wild is that?

John Abraham is in no hurry. Several actors have gone ahead and signed multiple film deals with major corporate houses at astronomical prices, but John has decided to go slow. "I am not in a hurry really," says John.

Seriously, doesn't he get insecure when he reads that an 'x' actor has signed a Rs. 60 crore deal or 'y' getting into a 3-film contract for a humungous figure? Doesn't he want to be a part of this rat race? "Believe me, I have never felt insecure. And I don't believe in signing 3 or 4-film deals, even if the money is lucrative. While ‘Aashayein’ is already complete [slated for release early next year], followed by Yash Raj's ‘New York’ [directed by Kabeer Khan], John will begin work on Abbas Tyrewala's film. "I want to take a break once I am through with Abbas' film. I've been living out of my suitcase for a while now. I need to relax," he states.

The media was agog with rumours of John and Katrina sharing cold vibes while shooting for ‘New York’ in America. If true, doesn't it hamper the quality of work? "Yes, it does! But Katrina and I are thorough professionals. It's completely false that we didn't get along, I don't know how this originated," he clarifies.

It was reported that Salman Khan would be performing on the 31st night at Sahara Star. It is said that Sahara had approached Salman to perform for the New Year's Eve and he agreed for a price of Rs.3 crores. Arbaaz, Sohail and Malaika would also perform with him.

However, the latest we hear is that Salman is out of the event and Bipasha Basu
has been asked to perform in his place for the New Years Eve. It is said that the sponsors could not afford Salman's price. In spite of having several discussions with Salman for the last ten days over the price Salman did not agree to compromise on his price.

Actually it is said that the sponsors had made a deal of Rs.3.5 crores with the organisers, therefore they had agreed to pay Salman the said amount but after lots of talks they finally agreed to pay Salman the price of Rs.2 crores on which Salman refused flatly. Whether brothers Arbaaz, Sohail and Malaika would still perform or not is unknown.
In all it is said that Bipasha has been convinced to perform with a price of Rs.1 crore, whereas last year she had performed at J.W. Mariott for just Rs.90 lakhs for a 30 minute performance.

Sudipto´s Bipasha Starrer ´Pankh´ Wows The Industry!

Director Sudipto Chattopadhya who is currently making 'Pankh' for whitefeather films with Bipasha Basu is pretty nervous.
'Pankh' with its bold theme of gender identity had already created ripples in the film industry circle. To calm his frail nerves down, Sudipto had a special screening of the rushes of 'Pankh' for a select few from the film fraternity and check on their reaction. Sudipto heaved a sigh of relief when his select guests stepped out of the preview theatre with a smile on their face.
Says Sudipto, "I was glad that the audience could easily connect to the main protagonist emotionally. The theme of Pankh touched their hearts and that itself was a triumphant moment for me. Everyone who saw the scenes we showed them was full of praise. It was heart warming."

Bipasha couldn't stop laughing picturing me with Abhi: John

While Priyanka Chopra has been practically enjoying one film release a month and Abhishek Bachchan saw the release of Drona and Sarkar Raj this year, for John Abraham it has been quite some wait. Last November, his Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal released while this year in the same month, he sees his Dostana arriving at theaters. Practically living out of suitcases while shooting non-stop for his next with Yash Raj Films (tentatively titled New York) and making intermittent visits to Mumbai for shooting and promotion of Dostana, he talks about Dostana as the romcom hits the screens.
Everyone is going ga-ga about the fun fest that Dostana is. How much of fun was it on paper?

Believe me, when Dostana was narrated to me by Tarun (Mansukhani), I burst out laughing. I was in splits throughout. I said to myself, 'If I am enjoying it so much, my audience too would certainly enjoy it'. Eventually we have managed to achieve what we had set out for. That's because we wanted to make a fun film with the foremost consideration that we were not there to make fun of any particular community. The characters were never allowed to look or behave caricaturish.

So it was all fun and frolic the moment you guys started working on the film?

Bipasha is presently shooting for ‘Lamha’ in Kashmir.

Besides this, she has also shot for a full-on Bollywood action adventure Freeze with Neil Nitin Mukesh .

Bipasha in a harrowing situation

Bipasha Basu has left the sets of her upcoming movie, Lamha in srinagar and returned to Mumbai. In a recent interview she had revealed how petrified she was at the crowd’s behavior.

The locals would hound the unit members during the shoot and question their motives. Security is always an issues in Srinagar but since the security personnel did not want to take panga with the locals they descended on Bipasha.

Bipasha described the incident as traumatic and frightening since she had found herself in a vulnerable situation for the first time especially since she was a woman.

Bipasha flees Kashmir shocking everyone

Sex siren Bipasha Basu fled from the the Kashmir where she was shooting for the movie Lamhaa without informing anyone. This incident shocked the entire cast and crew as Bipasha was supposed to shoot with Sanjay Dutt who has just arrived in Srinagar to shoot the sequence. The movie is being directed by Rahul Dholakia and also stars Kunak Kapoor and Shernaz Patel.


Producer Bunty Walia was amazed how Bipasha could have managed to pack her luggage in just 15 minutes if it was not pre planned. Bunty expressed hope that Bipasha will soon join them in Manali for the second leg of the shoot. Incidentally only a few days back a policeman charged with her security had proposed Bipasha for marriage on the sets of the movie.

Bipasha Basu to perform at Sahara Star Hotel on New Year's Eve

This New Year's Eve, actress Bipasha Basu will perform at the Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai. The performance will be for 15 minutes and the songs to which Basu will shake her leg are yet to be decided.

Last year too the actress had performed on New Year's Eve at the J W Mariott Hotel. This time round, actress Katrina Kaif will perform there.

While Basu's performance last year fetched her Rs 9 million (Rs 90 lakhs), this year's charges are not known.

Carving Dreams head artist and public relation Tanujaa Mehra says, "Yes Bipasha will be performing at Sahara Star on 31 December for the New Year's Eve for 15 minutes. However, I cannot disclose her charges for that."

Bipasha Basu Stalls Shooting in Fear of Safety

The smoking hot Bong babe, Bipasha Basu abruptly left Kashmir while she was on a shoot for Bunty Walia's new film, 'Lamha'. The actress left mid-way through shooting fearing her safety in the volatile valley. She isn't the only one worried about filming in Kashmir, as Karisma Kapoor originally turned down the role in fear of shooting in the valley. Needless to say shooting has stalled and Bunty Walia says filming will continue in Manali and he hopes Bips will complete the unfinished filming in Kashmir in January.

After her initial hesitation, she turned to him and politely but very firmly turned down his proposal. She told the guy that John was in her life and they both loved each other very much.”


Talking about the marriage proposal, Bips quips, “The proposal is something silly. I don’t really want to talk about it. I am here to work and not to get marriage proposals from cops. I wish they understood that.”
