Lara and Bipasha added to Shah Rukh’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Shah Rukh Khan, Yash Copra productions’ lucky mascot for years, has come to the rescue of the production house again with its next film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The banner, which was staggering of late under a series of flops, got back on its feet with SRK’s Chak De! India last year. It is now determined to extend this run of luck with King Khan and 19-year-old Bangalore model Anushka Sharma in RNBDJ.
News is that SRK, who has been maintaining a low profile of late, is glad to be back with buddy Aditya Chopra who is directing this film. And the highlight of the film is a song where SRK serenades five top heroines of Bollywood. These include the effervescent Kajol (with whom SRK always shares good vibes on screen), the vivacious Preity Zinta, the pretty Rani Mukherjee, and hot babes Bipasha Basu and Lara Dutta.

A source revealed, “It’s an old fashioned number, a medley of old songs, actually, which comes across as being simple and beautiful.” Shah Rukh dances and woos the five actresses in turn, they are all in the song — but not together, and it was shot on Sunday. The number was given life to by Bollywood’s top choreographer Shiamak Davar, another old and trusted friend of Adi’s, their association going back to such hit films as Dil To Pagal Hai in 1997. Bollywood trade pundits hint that RNBDJ appears already to be a blockbuster, much like Adi’s first film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge which created history.
There’s another bit of info on this film that the production house is keeping secret. SRK, apparently, has two avataars in it: one, matured, bespectacled and moustached; the second, youngish and urbane, with SRK sporting spiky hair! He’s supposed, also, to be a dancer in the film.

Bipasha sets the ramp on fire

Bollywood and fashion go hand in hand, here's one more film celebrity - Bipasha Basu - walking the ramp for fashion designer Maheka Mirpuri. The event celebrated love, passion and romance in the form of fashion, designer Maheka Mirpuri's winter collection 'Passione', brought the westernised Venice look in a traditional way - and the showstopper was none other than the very sensuous Bipasha Basu.

As Bipasha stated, "I've been a model, if a designer wants me everytime to display his or her collections, I just feel great. I'm essentially a girl, so obviously I like to dress up. I like to look pretty, and this also reminds of my old-time profession of that of a model."

Bipasha surely has her reasons to walk the ramp, and it's the actor's perfection that made Maheka choose the Bengali beauty as her muse. According to Maheka, "Bipasha is a lovely person to work with and I think, she was the perfect muse to have. Since it's love and romance and Venice, and Bipasha is so sexy - that it just epitomises all of that together. Also, the garment that I've created for Bipasha is very different, everything has fallen in place."

While Bipasha set the ramp on fire, another celebrity's presence in the audience added more charm to the evening - Manisha Koirala with her scintillating drop-dead gorgeous looks caught much attention in the glitzy gathering. As Manisha commented about Maheka, "I haven't worn Maheka's clothes yet but she's a friend of mine, and I like her clothes, it's superb."

Designer Maheka's collection showcased explicit femininity in an intense manner, and Bipasha's catwalk added all the required zing and spice to it.
